Join us on Wednesday November 13 to celebrate the publication of Prof. Bill Miles’ newest work Afro-Jewish Encounters:  From Timbuktu to the Indian Ocean and Beyond.  Afro-Jewish Encounters is a collection of new and revised essays spanning 35 years of research and reflections in sub-Saharan Africa, the Indian Ocean, the West Indies, and Israel.  Miles was the second holder of the Stotsky Professorship of Jewish Historical and Cultural Studies and has spent over three decades conducting research in Africa.  Co-sponsored by African-American Studies, Jewish Studies, and Political Science.
