Starting today, September 9, 2015, a new virtual desktop service named RemoteApp is available to students, faculty and staff. This new service will replace the older technology behind the myApps virtual Windows desktop experience at the end of the Fall 2015 semester. With the new service, you remotely connect to our servers for virtual access to individual Windows applications.
RemoteApp offers access to software applications including:
- ChemBio Suite
- Dr. Racket
- Group Manager (faculty/staff only)
- IBM SPSS Statistics
- Microsoft Office 2013 Suite
- Microsoft Project (faculty/staff only)
- PCI Geomatica
The two virtual desktop services will run concurrently until myApps is retired on December 20, 2015. If you are a myApps user, please take some time this semester to try out RemoteApp. Additional details are available on the RemoteApp service page.
