Scholars come to Northeastern on their own, seeking a strong graduate or postgraduate education at a top American university, or sponsored by other governments or institutions, such as Fulbright scholars from abroad and participants in international educational exchange programs.

For many, ISSI becomes a central touchpoint, a way to expand beyond their formal academic and cross-cultural programs into a world of important personal and professional connections.
