Global Expressions

Global Expressions is a hospitality program that pairs international students with faculty and staff hosts, usually during the Thanksgiving holiday. Each gains cross-cultural insight during activities of mutual interest. This is a non-live-in cultural exchange, which is secular in nature.

Applications for participation in the Thanksgiving holiday program are available during the fall semester. ISSI welcomes the Northeastern community to participate as a host or guest.

Cross-cultural training

ISSI students and scholars have much to teach the Northeastern community. To foster intercultural awareness and understanding for all, ISSI tailors training to specific needs and interests of faculty, staff, and student groups.  Whether exploring the cross-cultural context of gender identity, defining notions of leadership across cultures, or examining the role of police in various countries, this training examines the nuances and complexities of cross-cultural interactions. Make that meaningful cultural connection!
