Global connections abroad

Global Connections, a unique mentoring program, links graduating international students with alumni abroad to help alleviate reentry challenges (primarily reverse culture shock) often encountered upon return to one’s home country. ISSI also facilitates connections with international alumni mentors for members of the University community traveling in specified countries. A related initiative, the International Ambassador Program, provides opportunities relating to the mission of international undergraduate admissions.

Here at Northeastern, ISSI matches new international students with peers who serve as both mentors and cross-cultural mediators during an important transition process.
