Insurance for J visa holders
For J students

U.S. government regulations require that J-1 visa holders and J-2 spouses and dependents have health insurance that provides:
- Medical benefits of at least $50,000 per accident or illness.
- In case of death, repatriation of remains in the amount of $7,500.
- In case of serious illness or injury, payment of expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the Exchange Visitor to his or her home country in the amount of $10,000.
- A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness .
NUSHP meets and surpasses all the requirements of the J visa health insurance requirements.
