Navigating complex regulations

One of ISSI’s most important roles is to assist incoming international students in navigating the complexities of immigration regulations, helping them achieve or maintain valid legal status.

The U.S. government requires all international students studying in the United States to met stringent eligibility requirements before and during their stay. ISSI helps international students and scholars manage these issues at Northeastern.

 

Homeland Security

The Department of Homeland Security comprises three areas of particular relevance to international students and scholars.

• U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services 
• U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
• U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP)
