How To Say It: Practice Your Pitch
Location: 106 West Village G
Time: 12:00-1:30pm

You know you need to practice and hone what you’re going to say in an interview, but how are you going to say it? In American English, how you say it is as important as what you say. Miscommunication can be caused by differences in how your English is being perceived compared to what your intended meaning is. This workshop will explain how native English speakers use pitch to express meaning; provide practice with your own words; and demonstrate some great resources for practice and self-assessment. Attend this workshop in addition to Interviewing American-Style as each workshop helps you with a different aspect of interviewing. This workshop is for international students (all non-native English speakers are welcome to attend). Join Dr. Christi Barb, our presenter and an expert in helping international students, for this fun and interactive workshop before you have to interview for a great co-op or after graduation opportunity!

This event is brought to you by Northeastern University's Office of Career Services.
