The Executive Board (E-Board) is the student leadership of the IRC consisting of the Adviser, the President, Executive VP for Public Affairs and Education, VP Events Coordination, VP Finance, and VP Administration. The E-Board meets weekly and is responsible for the direction and programming of the IRC. Elections for E-Board positions are held at the end of each semester, with the exception of VP Finance which is elected annually.

- Advisor: Phil D’Agati
Phil holds a Ph.D. in Political Science with research interests in International Relations, Nationalism, Conflict, and International Organization. His current research is in the area of Nationalism, cultural performance, and the Olympic Games. He is an Academic Specialist in the Political Science Department where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of International Relations, Comparative Politics, International Organizations, Nationalism, Media/Film, and Regional courses in the Middle East. Phil is also the adviser of International Relations Council, where he supports our exceptional and competitive Model NATO and Model Arab League Teams.
- President: Noreen Leahy
Noreen is an senior Environmental Studies major here at Northeastern. She has held a wide range of positions within the International Relations Council including Secretary-General of NERMAL, IMUN and RMUN. She has also served as Head Delegate for NATO and Arab League. Noreen’s areas of interests include maritime law and security. Noreen has held co-ops at the Boston Children’s Museum, the Office of Attorney General Martha Coakley and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
- Executive Vice President: Laura Mueller-Soppart
Laura is a senior Economics and Political Science major from Chicago, IL. She has held a variety of positions including President, VP Finance, Nationals Head Delegate, and Secretary General MSMUN. Laura has also won several delegate awards including Outstanding at Nationals and served as Committee Chair at the Geneva International Model UN at the UN in Switzerland. Laura’s areas of interest include security, innovation, and cross sector collaboration. Laura has held coop and intern positions at the EU Parliament, White House, MacArthur Foundation, and MA Executive Office of Admin and Finance.
- Vice President of Finance: Cameron Eide
Cameron is a second year International Affairs student at Northeastern and has been involved with IRC for 3 semesters and this is his first semester on EBoard. Cam spent his first semester at Northeastern traveling Greece and has traveled with the IRC delegation several times over the past year. Cam looks forward to working with our finances this semester and getting to know everyone in the club.
- Vice President of Events: Lara Cole
Lara has been actively involved in Model United Nations programming for a total of eight years now. She served as the Council’s President in the Spring of 2012, and has held various positions within the organization including: Vice President of Events, Vice President of Administration, Director of Conference Recruitment, Secretary General, and delegate at numerous conferences. In addition, she has the pleasure of serving as the Secretary General for the Northeast Regional Model Arab League Conference (NERMAL) in November 2012, and Chair of the Council of Social Affairs Ministers at the National Model Arab League Conference (NMAL) in April 2013. She is currently on co-op at a global research and advisory firm, Forrester Research. She is pursuing a B.A. in Journalism, with International Affairs, Political Science, Middle Eastern Studies, and Arabic Language minors.
- Vice President of Administration: Stephanie Leahy
Stephanie is a sophomore Political Science student with minors in Arabic and Criminal Justice. Having grown up in the United States, Ecuador, Kuwait, Mexico, India and Bulgaria, she is very interested in international politics and how they affect the global state. She enjoys traveling and learning about the unique cultures and histories of the world. Stephanie joined the IRC in the Fall of 2011 and has participated in several conferences, including BarMUN, NERMAL, JCC, MSMUN, RMUN and SERMAL. She is eager for this leadership position and is excited to meet all members of the IRC in the coming meetings.
