Undergraduate Program
Admission to the Program
Thank you for your interest in the International Affairs program!
If you are interested in applying to become an International Affairs major as a freshman, or as a transfer student from another university, please make your application request directly with Undergraduate Admissions. The International Affairs Program does not handle application requests directly for first-year students and external transfers, so please do not contact us for admission information.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If you are a current student at Northeastern University who would like to pursue a major or minor in International Affairs, please complete the following steps:
1. Meet the requirements to transfer - Students are encouraged to apply to the major by their sophomore year to begin planning early for their international experience. Northeastern students wishing to transfer into our major must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
2. Complete the Program of Study Petition form.
3. Meet with the head advisor (Kimberly Jones, 259 Holmes) to submit your petition and discuss your reasons for entering the program. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Acceptance into the major will be based on each student meeting the department's criteria for admission and space availability in the program.
