The user experience in Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint is enhanced by Microsoft Lync. Lync provides rich presence information as well as the ability to instantly connect with contacts inside the University community.

Hours of Availability
Service is available 24 x 7 x 365, except during planned maintenance and upgrades.
Support
Support is provided by Information Technology Services during Service Desk hours of 7:00am – 12midnight Monday – Saturday, except during holidays and intersession. To obtain assistance with this service, please contact the Service Desk at 617.373.4357 (xHELP).

Request for Service
Microsoft Lync for Windows is available to all faculty and staff on NUnet computers via Add/Remove Programs. See the Lync Installation page for install directions.For non-NUnet computers, Microsoft Lync for Windows is available via myNEU Software Downloads. See the Lync Installation (Non-NUnet computers) page for install directions.Communicator for Mac is distributed with Office 2011. If you do not already have Office 2011 you may obtain it by contacting the Service Desk at 617.373.4357 (xHELP) or help@neu.edu.
