The Virus Protection service provides automated Symantec antivirus protection on all centrally-managed Microsoft Windows and Apple MacOS client computers used in labs and Faculty/Staff offices. Symantec Endpoint Protection client software is also available for free download and use on their personal computers to all students. ITS monitors the centrally-managed client network for virus threats and infections and provides cleanup support via the associated Malware Removal service.
Virus protection is installed and applied to all centrally managed workstations to protect the Northeastern computing environment and university data from exploitation.

Hours of Availability
Service is available 24 x 7 x 365, except during planned maintenance and upgrades.
Support is provided by Information Technology Services during normal university business hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday. To obtain assistance with this service, please contact the Service Desk at 617.373.4357 (xHELP).
