Software Consulting Services

Software consulting provides centralized software purchasing services, including needs consultation, product/pricing/upgrade research and recommendation. We work to provide members of the community maximum access to appropriate applications while recognizing financial considerations and upholding institutional responsibilities to comply with software licensing agreements and copyright law.
  • Research software available based on customer requirements
  • Work with vendor to negotiate license and cost
  • Work with multiple departments to negotiate cost-share for applications with multidisciplinary use
  • Work with Information Technology Services to review software for viability in the NUnet environment prior to purchase; advise on best mechanism for distributing the software
  • Help prevent copyright infringement and non-compliance
  • Provide a central location of software licensing documentation and media

Service is available during normal university business hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday.
