Microsoft Communicator Installation Directions

Login to myNEU and go to the Services & Links tab. In the Faculty/Staff Services section, click on Software Downloads. Select Microsoft Communicator and follow the instructions to download the file.
Open the downloaded installer file from the desktop.
Double-click the Communicator Installer button.
Click Continue.
Read the Software License Agreement then click Continue to begin the installation process.
Click Agree on the popup screen.
Select the Disk on which to install Communicator and click Install.
Enter your Mac’s administrator username and password.
Communicator will now install.
Click Close on The Installation was Completed Successfully screen.
When you start up Microsoft Communicator, you will be prompted to allow access to your Keychain. Select Allow or Always Allow.
Enter your login information. Ensure the user ID is in the nunetusername format. The User ID field is your NUnet login. Your e-mail address can only be the @neu.edu e-mail address. An e-mail alias will not work.
If you close down the application, Communicator will remain running in the background unless you exit out of the application using the menu bar.
