The Warranty Computer Repair service diagnoses and replaces broken components in Dell and Apple computers that are still under warranty.
Functionality/Benefits
This service is provided at no external cost to the customer and provides a quicker response. For Faculty and Staff, the warranty is included in the purchase price of the computer system purchased through the NU computer purchase program. For Students, ResNet is a certified Dell and Apple repair center and authorized to work on computers under warranty regardless of where they were purchased. This service allows the computer to be fixed on-site instead of having to be shipped off-site for repair.
Service Level Options
Pro IT Support: users can change the extended warranty to Pro IT support, which includes the benefit of a special phone number that provides less than 5 min hold time for support requests.

Hours of Availability

Service is available for Faculty/Staff during Service Desk hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Saturday, except during holidays and intersession. To obtain assistance with this service, please contact the Service Desk at 617.373.4357 (xHELP).

Drop off repair work for students available through ResNet during normal ResNet hours of 8:30am – 7:00pm Monday – Thursday and 8:30am – 5:00pm on Friday.

Support is provided by Information Technology Services for NU-owned Faculty and Staff Dell and Apple computers and ResNet for Student Dell and Apple computers. See the Information Technology Services Website for service hours.
