Construction Update
During Summer I/II, areas of Snell Library will be under construction as the Digital Media Commons (DMC) is expanded. All services provided by Information Services will continue to be available and offered within Snell Library throughout the construction.

On the evening of April 28, 2013, the main InfoCommons area (184SL) will close, in order to be relocated. InfoCommons II (137SL, by Argo Tea) will remain open through May 6, 2013. Both the Help Desk and the InfoCommons will run on a normal summer schedule. This page will continue to provide Information Services-related updates over the summer. During construction the Digital Media Commons will remain open on the second floor, providing both additional computer and printing access 24/7.

InfoCommons is the largest of the centrally managed labs on campus providing access to 161 computer stations. InfoCommons is open 24 x 7. The lab offers 24 Apple computers, 137 PCs, printing, scanning, walk-up technical support, access to University applications after hours/weekend telephone support, and audio-visual equipment distribution.
Functionality/Benefits
Software and hardware is centrally managed consistently. Students are able to log in with their myNEU accounts. Software updates, including virus protection, are done in a timely manner without user intervention. This service also provides a Help Desk for technical assistance to users in the InfoCommons computer lab during normal lab hours.
