Centrally Managed (Computer) Labs

Description
Centrally Managed Computer Labs are controlled and maintained by Information Services. Computers are patched, managed by group policy and are included in the hardware 3-year refresh program. Software is pushed down electronically using one of the Software Distribution methods.
Functionality/Benefits
Software and hardware is centrally managed consistently. Students are able to log in with their own credentials. Software updates, including virus protection, are done in a timely manner without user intervention. Hardware is refreshed routinely.

Support
Classroom support is provided by Information Services during Service Desk hours of 7:00am – 10:00pm Monday – Sunday, except during holidays and intersession. [NOTE: Better practice to maintain hours separately from individual catalog items for cleaner maintenance, when switching to summer hours, for example.]
