The myFiles service provides each member of the Northeastern University community with personal web-based file storage accessible from anywhere in the world. The service allows you to upload, store, access, retrieve and share files via the Internet using only a web browser.

Students are provided 5.0GB of storage and Faculty and Staff are provided 10.0GB of storage.


myFiles is a convenient, university-wide file sharing solution that can be used with any kind of computer. myFiles offers a way of eliminating the need for external storage components or sending documents through email.

myFiles allows you to share almost any kind of file, such as spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and more.

Hours of Availability
Service is available 24 x 7 x 365, except during planned maintenance and upgrades.
Support is provided by Information Technology Services during normal University business hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday. To obtain assistance with this service, please contact the Service Desk at 617.373.4357 (xHELP).

There is currently no charge for the first 5GB of storage for Students or for the first 10GB of storage for Faculty and Staff.

$300/year for 5GB increments above the Faculty/Staff default quota of 10GB.

Request for Service

Faculty, Staff and Students receive access to myFiles as soon as they create their myNEU account. myFiles is accessible via the myNEU Portal and clicking the icon located on the top right side of the page within myNEU. myFiles can also be accessed directly at

For Faculty and Staff who wish to increase the amount of their myFiles storage, an electronic request can be submitted by visiting
myHelp and submitting a self-service request online.
