Where to Get It

Students

  • myApps – see myApps Information Center support page
  • NUnet Managed Computer Labs (including InfoCommons)
  • Direct from Vendor – Student Personal Machine (Local Installation)
    1. Use your organization email, @neu.edu, and request an Activation Key through the Wolfram website (Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux).
    2. Click on the download link sent by email: create a WolframID, download the executable file, and run the installer on your local machine
    3. Enter the Activation Key (also sent by email) during the installation when prompted, make sure you are connected to the Internet
    4. Unless you are upgrading, Mathematica will auto-renew your password as your site license is renewed in future years (no longer a manual process)

Faculty and Staff

    1. To start a request for a Home Use license (new installer, or upgrade), just fill out this web form:
      http://www.wolfram.com/siteinfo/homeuse/
    2. You’ll need your organization license number, please search myKnowledge for Northeastern’s license number for Mathematica.
    3. The web form will ask whether you want a download or CD shipment, and basic contact information. It will take roughly a day or two to process the order (plus shipment time).
