MacApps Server Share

Retiring end of the Spring 2014 term
Over the last few years Northeastern Mac users have utilized MacApps for access to university licensed applications. This service has predominately provided access to Adobe Creative Suite products. ITS is no longer allowing new users and will be phasing the system out in a few months.

Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff on Macs are strongly encouraged to upgrade to the Mac standard NUnet configuration (Top Six Benefits of a NUnet Managed Mac) as it offers all of the latest Northeastern software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro and through the Self-Service application, Adobe CS5 and CS6. For those without a NUnet imaged Mac, please call the Service Desk at 617.373.4357 (xHELP) for information on how to get Adobe Acrobat Pro on your machine. ITS is in the process of establishing a method for non-NUnet imaged Mac users to gain access to Adobe products in the next few months.

All ITS-managed computer labs have Adobe Creative Suite installed (both Mac and PC). Adobe Creative Cloud is also available for purchase at a discounted rate on myNEU through the Free and Discounted Software link.

Service is available 24 x 7 x 365, except during planned maintenance and upgrades.
Support is provided by Information Technology Services during normal university business hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday. To obtain assistance with this service, please contact the Service Desk at 617.373.4357 (xHELP).
