myApps for Macs

Tip: Download and print this page before starting

  1. To access myApps, download the remote desktop client from the SourceForge website (http://cord.sourceforge.net/).
  2. Select download and the box below will appear. Select "OK"
  3. The CoRD remote desktop client will appear in the Downloads folder.
  4. The following securing prompt will appear. Click "Open"
  5. Before installation begins, you will have the option as to where the remote desktop client will be installed. It is recommended to choose the "Move to Applications Folder" option.
  6. The CoRD icon will appear in the Applications folder. Double click the icon and the CoRD rdp client (shown below) will appear. Type in "myapps1.nunet.neu.edu" and click "Enter".
  7. The myApps login screen appears. The login window will read Windows Server 2003. When you are prompted to enter your username and password, type NUnet\your NUnet username (e.g. NUnet\s.husky). Then, type in your NUnet password. In the "Log on to" dropdown menu, select "NUnet". Then click "OK". ***Note: This will NOT work using NUwave-Guest, you must use a valid NUnet account.

  8. The myApps window appears. You will be prompted to login to your myFiles Webdrive. Use your myNEU credentials to login.

  9. Your myFiles window will open. If it takes up your entire screen, you can minimize the window by clicking the dash icon on the upper right hand side of the screen.
  10. To access myApps applications, click the Start button and then click All Programs.
  11. If you want to access your Mac desktop while you are using myApps, press the F11 key on your keyboard.
  12. To log out of myApps, click Start, then Log off.
