Information Technology Services, Software Licensing, will work with departments that have unique software needs. Software Licensing will negotiate, procure and manage the software licenses. If possible, Software Licensing will attempt to identify other departments who have the same need to costshare the purchase.
Functionality/Benefits
Software licensing has experience in negotiating and managing large and small software contracts and can oftentimes acquire additional services and/or lower licensing costs. Because of a broad knowledge of university software acquisitions, Software Licensing may be able to identify other departments that have similar needs and arrange for a costshare – making the software more affordable and more widely available.
Service Level Options
Service levels will vary based on the negotiated agreement between the customer(s) and Information Technology Services.

Hours of Availability
Service is available during normal university business Hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday.

Charge
There are generally no charges associated with negotiating and procuring software licenses or with distributing software to Northeastern University end users using standard distribution methods. Departments are responsible, however, for the cost of the software application and any associated annual recurring licensing and maintenance fees charged by the software vendor.
