Information Services provides security awareness training to assist users in understanding the value of information and best practices for handling information in accordance with University policy and local, state and Federal laws and regulations. Open admission classes are offered the first Wednesday of each month or by appointment to any interested Student, Faculty or Staff group.
Functionality/Benefits
Trained individuals are better prepared to handle information in accordance with policy, regulation and law, and are best positioned to detect and report efforts to circumvent security controls, and avoid security breached. Further, trained individuals are able to help educate others, thereby growing the ranks of well-educated individuals in the University community.
Service Level Options
Typically routinely scheduled, but emergency/urgent response available. Certain trainings such as HIPAA are mandatory.

Hours of Availability
In-Class training sessions are scheduled the first Wednesday of every month. The online presentation, located on the Information Services Website, is available 24 x 7 x 365.
