In an effort to increase information security across campus, Information Services has made changes to how classroom and lab computers are accessed. Beginning this semester, you will be required to use your individual Northeastern faculty/staff or student username and password to log into classroom or lab computers. Existing classroom and lab accounts will be disabled. This change will help us eliminate the security risk inherent in the current classroom and lab accounts.
Many computers in classrooms and labs feature a logout warning after 15 minutes of inactivity, and a system logout after 20 minutes of inactivity. To ensure the security of myNEU credentials, all classroom and lab computers will now have have this feature.
