Information Technology Services has expanded the storage allocations for myFiles, the personal web-based storage service available for use by all faculty, staff and students. All students will now be able to store up to 5 GB in their individual myFiles accounts (up from 1 GB), while faculty and staff myFiles quotas have been raised from 2 GB to 10 GB. This increase has been made in recognition of the growth in storage needs that accompany the expanding role of computers and data in our daily work.
myFiles is a Northeastern-maintained personal cloud storage service that enables you to securely access, store and share information from anywhere and at any time. As a private cloud service hosted and maintained by Northeastern, myFiles is particularly well suited to store sensitive work related information. It can be accessed using a web browser or as a web folder from your computer or tablet device. myFiles is also where your data is stored when you use myApps to run desktop applications remotely.
You can access your increased myFiles storage via the myNEU portal (click on the myFiles icon on the top right), or directly at myfiles.neu.edu.
