At the beginning of January, Northeastern implemented two new enterprise systems: Banner HR and PeopleAdmin. Banner HR, found on the myNEU Services & Links tab in the HRM Services section, is called Employee Self-Service. It offers the same functions as hrConnect, containing employees’ personal information as well as payment and tax information. PeopleAdmin streamlines the recruiting and hiring process while also providing enhanced tracking and reporting capabilities.
Implementing two new systems simultaneously required input from and collaboration with many individuals as well as Academic and Administrative departments across the University, including the Provost’s Office, HRM, Internal Consulting, the Registrar’s Office, Finance, CPS, and Information Technology Services among others.
Banner HR was the fourth component of Banner to be implemented, following Finance, Advancement and Student. Banner will provide Northeastern with consistent data across the University, enhanced reporting capabilities and increased efficiencies.
