IBM SPSS and Amos 19 – Coming Soon

The newest version of IBM SPSS and Amos, version 19, will become available to the NU community in mid-March. Information about how to upgrade or obtain SPSS and Amos can be found on the SPSS software page.

“IBM SPSS Statistics is a comprehensive, easy-to-use set of data and predictive analytic tools for business users, analysts and statistical programmers. You can get a quick look at your data, formulate hypotheses for additional testing, and then carry out a number of procedures to help clarify relationships between variables, create clusters, identify trends and make predictions.” This, and more information about the product, can be found on the IBM SPSS website.

“IBM SPSS Amos is a structural equation modeling (SEM – and sometimes called path analysis) tool that provides additional insight into causal models and explores the interaction effects and pathways between variables. SEM lets you more rigorously test whether your data supports your hypothesis.” This, and more information about the product, can be found on the IBM SPSS Amos website.

Currently, SPSS and Amos* 18 are available on:

  • NUnet for faculty, students and staff.
  • Software Download service on myNEU (faculty and staff home use)

*Please note that Amos is available for Windows only at this time.
