Don’t worry the ResNet Resource Center (RRC) is ready to help! On January 2, 2014 the RRC officially began providing guaranteed support for students with computers running the latest operating systems – Windows 8.1 and OSX 10.9 Mavericks. Student support is already available for Windows XP*, Vista, 7, and 8, and OSX versions 10.5* and higher.
Guaranteed support includes:
- Compatible versions of the antivirus software Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.4 and the Virtual Print Client software (for the Free Print Allowance Program) are available at myNEU.
- You can also come to the RRC in Speare Commons for assistance with installation.
- Support for OS, driver, or application issues, as well as malware removal.
- Support for reinstallation of the operating system, if deemed necessary by RRC technicians.
*Guaranteed support for Windows XP and OSX 10.5 Leopard will likely be ending in May 2014. Please contact the RRC at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need assistance upgrading your operating system, or if you have any questions about this change.
