Information Technology Services is aware of issues with some Windows 7 users experiencing intermittent difficulties utilizing the network printing environment. Customers experiencing this issue may receive a message that the printer is offline when attempting to print to a network print queue. MacOS and Windows XP users, and Windows 7 users printing to locally attached printers, are not affected.
Information Technology Services is actively working with Microsoft on resolving this issue, and is helping troubleshoot and identify the problem. The vendor acknowledges this behavior has been reported by other sites as well. We continue to work closely with Microsoft until the problem is fully resolved.
