Experiential philanthropy education (EPE) is a teaching methodology that incorporates real-dollar grant making into an academic course to complement and enhance core learning objectives. SIL uses EPE to expose students to the social, ethical, economic, and logistical challenges of developing and funding effective strategies to advance social change.
Northeastern Students4Giving (NS4G)
Students are charged with the responsibility of awarding up to $20,000 per year to Boston-area nonprofit organizations through an independent, consensus-based process.
Teaching by Giving
Through this partnership between Northeastern University and the Learning by Giving Foundation, SIL supports the growth and sustainability of experiential philanthropy education programs at colleges and universities across the U.S.
