We congratulate our colleagues at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia on the launch of a new experiential philanthropy course modeled after our own Northeastern Students4Giving. Students will determine how to award $10,000 to nonprofit organizations as part of the Swinburne’s Master of Social Investment and Philanthropy program. Rebecca Riccio, founding Director of Northeastern’s Social Impact Lab and Academic Advisor to the Learning byGiving Foundation, introduced the methodology to Swinburne faculty and the local philanthropic community during her visit as the Heloise Waislitz Fellow in Philanthropy in November 2014.
