Banking on Fun
Mia Roque is plenty busy. When not navigating the financial crisis while on co-op with Boston’s State Street Global Markets, the business major in the honors program (with a dual concentration in finance and management, no less) takes the Northeastern campus by storm.
Roque is a dancer, volunteer, peer mentor, sorority sister, fashion coordinator, group leader (for Filipino cultural group, Barkada), and, above all else, a proud Husky.
“Northeastern is so diverse in its extracurriculars and academics. There’s so much you can get involved in and it has everything I want.” Plus, she adds, “The city is thriving with things for college students that you can’t get anywhere else. It’s just an awesome place to be.”
