We are nearly doubling our previous three-year commitment to appoint 30 outstanding faculty at the associate and full professor levels to pursue interdisciplinary research and teaching. Northeastern will seek 50 scholars who aspire to create new areas of scholarship and new disciplines by combining their knowledge and mastery of different fields with others'. This significant increase in our commitment is grounded in our recently adopted Academic Plan, which embraces interdisciplinary research and teaching across its broad objectives in experiential learning, research, creative expression, urban engagement, and global outreach.
