Mark Ferrara is currently a senior here at Northeastern, finishing up his last semester as a Business Administration student with a dual concentration in both Finance and Accounting. Mark previously served as IDEA’s Investment Officer throughout all of 2011. He has also been involved in other organizations around campus including the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Northeastern’s Student Value Fund, and as a member of the Huntington Management Consulting Team. Today, he remains an Investment Analyst for IDEA where he still helps finalize decisions on the funding of ventures.
Throughout his time at Northeastern Mark completed three Co-op’s and an Internship. Mark first worked as a trading assistant for a small hedge fund, Hellman Jordan Management Company, where he found his passion for wealth management. Then Mark completed his second and third co-op’s at Goldman Sachs Agency Lending as an Operations Analyst, which were Mark’s favorite and most influential experiences thus far at Northeastern. Finally, Mark completed a 10-week Internship at Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management division here in Boston, and was lucky enough to receive a full time offer starting in the Summer of 2013, where he will be joining the division as a Financial Analyst.
Mark says he has thoroughly enjoyed all of his experiences at Northeastern and looks to enjoy his last semester of college. Upon graduating in December, Mark will use the time off before work to study for Level I of the CFA and do some traveling.
