Coaches are a critical component of the IDEA program. IDEA coaches are exceptional undergraduate and graduate students who help ventures achieve their milestones through IDEA’s Business Planning Guide methodology. Coaches work as consultants by helping ventures complete their Business Plan, develop their business model, and put them on track to becoming a self-sustaining or investment ready enterprise. Each coach is paired with a mentor, or experienced professional to assist them in this process. Coaches are also responsible for connecting ventures with all of IDEA’s resources such as service providers, workshops, and funding opportunities, both inside and outside of IDEA.
