November 18-20, 2013 marks Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) at Northeastern University. This worldwide celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship, sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation and hosted by the Northeastern University Center for Entrepreneurship Education, marks one of the reasons why Northeastern University’s undergraduate entrepreneurship program is ranked #10 nationally by the Princeton Review.
GEW will start off strong and continuously gain momentum, ending with NEXPO, IDEA’s startup showcase that is open to innovative students, industry professionals, and anyone with an interest in entrepreneurship. Each day of Global Entrepreneurship Week concentrates on one of three phases of innovation: educate, incubate, and launch.
On Monday, take advantage of the valuable insights that will be shared by successful investors and entrepreneurs on topics such as how to get involved in the startup scene. Richard D’Amore, alumnus of and contributor to the D’Amore-McKim School of Business and Co-Founder and Partner of North Bridge Venture Partners, will speak at Global Entrepreneurship Week’s kickoff reception, an event not to be missed!
On Tuesday, learn the secrets to starting a business by attending The Early Days of Starting New Ventures, where key leaders in the entrepreneurship scene will take the stage. Learn how to get involved with innovation at Northeastern University by attending Student-Led Entrepreneurship at NU where student organization leaders will discuss their roles in the startup scene on-campus.
Wednesday will take Northeastern University’s entrepreneurial celebration to a whole new level by helping innovators bring their businesses to new heights. Learn more about ways to financially support a startup by attending How to Get an Early Stage Venture Funded.
NEXPO- Northeastern’s Entrepreneurship Expo:
Also on Wednesday, IDEA will host NEXPO, an exhibition of IDEA’s brightest and most promising ventures! Attendees will have the chance to meet entrepreneurs and learn how innovators turn their visions into reality. The Northeastern Entrepreneurship Pavilion will also be stationed at NEXPO, sharing many resources the university has to offer to entrepreneurs.
