Letter From the Director

Dear Students, Families, and Friends:

On behalf of the Department of Residential Life staff, I would like to welcome you to Northeastern University. By now you have been exposed to the variety of resources Northeastern offers so that you can maximize your educational experience. You have found that there are many paths to success and one of those paths offers seminars that tie into many aspects of the college student experience, and that is Husky EYES - Northeastern's first year experience program. I encourage you to go to as many Husky EYES sessions as you can. You will meet Northeastern's resources in person and find out how to navigate through your first year and beyond. Most importantly you will experience these opportunities with your roommates, hall mates, classmates, and friends.

Please take a moment to review this year's schedule, there are a lot of fun and exciting seminars planned and you will walk away with the necessary tools for living in Boston, navigating Northeastern, and being the successful student and person you want to be. Sessions like "Thriving in a Global Community" will expose opportunities that await you around the world and in a changing and diverse workforce. "Ultimate Money Skills" which is co-sponsored by Monster.com offers reflection on tough financial decisions such as daily spending, saving, and investing. You will leave this session with strategies for planning a secure financial future.

With increased attendance you can win prizes like gift cards to local establishments or Husky Dollars. There are many giveaways such as reusable shopping bags and the highly sought after Husky EYES mugs. Most importantly you will leave with the biggest prize of all, the exposure to all the knowledge you can handle and a wide base of support from professionals and your fellow students. You wont want to miss out.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to email huskyeyes@neu.edu. They would be happy to answer any questions you have and enjoy your feedback on the seminars.

Sincerely,

Robert O. Jose
