Husky EYES 101: Monster College Advantage

Rationale:

The purpose of this session is to introduce the incoming First Year class to Husky Eyes, while also providing a foundation of skills that will promote success within the first weeks of the academic year.

Description:

This session should include: an engaging introduction to the benefits that Husky Eyes seminars have on the success of First Year students at Northeastern University. This session should explore the upcoming curriculum, as well as entice students by explaining the incentive program. The presenter should provide students with tangible skills to enhance their success within the first weeks of their collegiate career. These skills should include: goal setting, time management, and study skills. Students attending this seminar should walk away feeling prepared to begin college, as well as being excited about Husky Eyes.

Learning Outcomes:

• Students attending this seminar will be able to describe what Husky Eyes has to offer First Year students at Northeastern University.
• Students should be able to compose a plan for success within the first weeks of college.
• Students will recognize the importance of effective time management in college.
