Contingency Planning
Human Resources Management (HRM) is focused on delivering the highest level of customer service to our constituencies at all times. We have developed contingency plans to ensure that our faculty and staff can receive timely information and have continued access to our services in the event of an issue that causes us to alter our normal operations.
We also want to ensure that our key Academic and Administrative contacts can continue to access and process transactions related to our benefits, compensation, employment, hire, payroll, systems and terminations.
In the event HRM is operating under a contingency plan, our services will be provided as follows:
Customer Service Calls: Our customer service number is 617-373-2230. Customer service representatives will answer your call, resolve them or ask an HRM resource to contact you for resolution.
HRM Website: Our website will continue to provide information and updates along with access to forms, benefit providers and other key information. Please check this site, along with Northeastern website, often.
HRM Emergency Team: If you need additional help beyond the items listed above, please contact one of our emergency team members as follows:

Transaction Processing: To ensure that day-to-day transactions can continue to be processed, we ask that you keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Our forms are located on the HRM site and can be found under one of the categories shown on the ‘Resources and Forms’ page.
- If you need to complete a form and are working from a remote location (i.e. somewhere other than on-campus), please complete the Word version of the form needed. If there is not a Word version available, please use the PDF version if possible. If this option does not work, please enter the necessary data from the form in a secure email and send the appropriate emergency team member listed above.
- If you need assistance beyond this information or have other needs related to contingency operations, please contact the emergency team.
