Compensation Programs

Northeastern believes that having a competitive total compensation program is critical to recruitment and retention of employees.  In addition to base pay, a staff bonus program, the reward & recognition program, and our highly competitive benefits provide a total compensation program that is a strong factor in attracting and retaining high quality employees.

The Compensation staff is responsible for developing annual pay programs, evaluating and classifying jobs, consulting with managers on salary and job design questions, managing the annual performance appraisal process, and managing the reward & recognition program.  Faculty salaries are administered through individual Colleges and the Provost’s Office.
