Northeastern’s tuition benefit is generous for both faculty and staff and their dependents and spouses. Full-time faculty and staff are eligible for up to 9 credit hours of tuition per academic term and after 3 years of continuous full-time employment, your dependent children are eligible for full tuition. There are additional benefits for spouses and same-sex spousal equivalents.
Undergraduate dependents only need to submit one Tuition Waiver form per academic year (fall through summer), unless enrolled in a Study Abroad or Dialogue program in which case a separate waiver form needs to be submitted for the term the student is abroad.
Employees and graduate dependents need to submit a waiver form for each term listing their full course enrollment. All courses for the term should be listed on one waiver form. Part A and B of CPS quarters are considered one term. Similarly, Summer I and II are considered one term.
Graduate employees should submit a Job Related Designation Form with their Tuition Waiver form if applicable.
