Dental Plan

Northeastern provides benefits eligible faculty and staff and their eligible dependent(s) a comprehensive dental plan through Delta Dental Plan of Massachusetts. The plan, DeltaPreferred Option Plus, focuses on preventive care and provides a wide range of dental services. DeltaPreferred Option Plus combines two of Delta Dental's national dental networks-Preferred and Premier-giving you access to dentists that participate in either network.

Ninety-six percent of Massachusetts dentists are Delta Dental Participating Dentists. In addition, the plan also provides the flexibility to use out-of-network dentists or dentists located outside Massachusetts; however, use of these dentists will increase overall out-of-pocket costs and payment may be required at the time of service and it may be necessary to submit a claim form.

Dental Deductions are taken using pre-tax payroll deduction and Northeastern shares the premium cost: The university pays 70 percent and you pay 30 percent. For the 2013 rates, please refer to the Rates Sheet (PDF).

Eligibility and Enrollment

For eligibility and enrollment criteria please refer to the eligibility and enrollment guidelines. If you would like to enroll complete a benefits enrollment form (PDF) and return it to HRM/Benefits at 250 Columbus Place.
