Welcome to this year’s Housing & Residential Life Selection & Placement process. We are glad that you have decided to stay on-campus. These resources contain all the information you need to reserve a room for the Fall 2010 Semester. Please review all of the information carefully as it gives you step-by-step instructions on how to complete the on-line room selection process. Please note that if you wish to select a room with the assistance of a Housing & Residential Life staff member, you may stop by our office in Speare Commons during or after the time you are scheduled for selection.
A unique feature of the “Housing On-line” system is the ability for all participants to view a list of available rooms in real time. You will also have the ability to select roommate(s) at the time of your selection. If you have any questions about the on-line room selection process, please contact Housing & Residential Life at (617) 373-2814 or visit our office in Speare Commons.
Again, thank you for choosing to live on campus!
Sincerely,
Housing & Residential Life.
Housing Information and Resources
Deposit Information: Current 3rd and 4th Year Students
Once you are offered a lottery number in the process you must secure your space by depositing. To secure your lottery number, you must pay your Fall 2010 housing deposit on-line prior to Friday, February 10, 2010 at Noon. If you wish to secure housing for Spring 2011, you can also make a deposit at this time. Please note, although it is not required, space will become limited for Spring 2010.
Deposit Instructions: To deposit, log onto the myNEU Portal and click on NUPay. At the top of your screen, click on Make a Payment and select Upper-class 2010 Dorm Deposit. If you are unable to make a payment on-line, please e-mail housing@neu.edu to obtain a deposit slip, which you can then bring to the Cashier's Office, 248 Richards Hall, along with your credit card, cash, or a check made payable to Northeastern University.
You cannot be charged for a housing deposit. Deposits must be student generated and cannot be added to a bill.
Current Third and Fourth Year Students: Using Housing On-line
Housing On-line will be available beginning February 8, 2010 at Noon, giving you access to floor plans and rosters.
Communication & Reminders
Housing & Residential Life uses e-mail as its official form of communication with students. All communication will be sent by e-mail. As a courtesy, Housing & Residential Life also sends out numerous reminder emails to individuals who do not submit their application and deposit.
