Graduate Application Process
All full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at Northeastern, you may apply to live in campus housing. Because space is limited, housing is not guaranteed.
Northeastern does not have accommodations for the school of Professional & Continuing Education, married couples, spousal equivalents, or dependent children. You can obtain information about alternative housing from Off-Campus Housing Services.

Graduate Students Currently Living On-Campus
Graduate and law students who lived on campus 2012-2013 are guaranteed housing for the upcoming year, provided they complete the application, sign the license agreement and submit their housing deposit(s) prior to May 1, 2013 at noon. To pay your deposit please contact our office directly.
Graduate Students New to On-Campus Housing
- Step I: Complete the housing application
Graduate Students who would like to apply for university housing must submit a housing application by May 30, 2013. Please indicate on the application all the terms for which you wish to apply. You are also required to sign the 2013-2014 Residence Hall and Dining License Agreement at the time you apply for housing.

Fall 2013 Assignment Process
After the application deadline, housing applications will be randomly selected through a computer-generated program. Students will either receive an offer for housing or be placed on a wait list for housing.
All students who applied will be notified of their application status during the the middle of June.
Students who receive an offer for housing will be required to submit non-refundable Housing Deposits for the terms they requested.
Students who receive a wait list number will also be notified by mail at this time about their position on this list and will be provided with information about the process and next steps, as well as off-campus housing alternatives.
Student Rights and Responsibilities
All students living in space leased by Northeastern are bound to uphold the “Code of Conduct” as detailed in the University’s Student Handbook, as well as, the terms and conditions detailed in both the Guide to Residence Hall Living and the Residence Hall and Dining License Agreement. Students whose behavior is not in accordance with these standards will be subject to disciplinary action.
At the time you receive your assignment letter, you will be provided with details of your move-in date and time.
Graduate Housing Options
Features in most of the apartment buildings include an intercom connection between each apartment and the lobby as well as front doors which are locked 24 hours a day with access for residents only. Each apartment is furnished with a bed, bureau, desk, and chair for each resident. All apartments have a kitchen table with chairs and one telephone and cable TV hook-up for the unit. The kitchens have a stove and refrigerator provided. Living room furniture is provided in standard apartments. Internet, telephone and cable not included in studio apartments. You may access Northeastern’s e-mail and internet program through a modem and a telephone line. ResNet is not available in leased properties.
Types of Apartments
The following descriptions will help illustrate what housing options are available with rates for this academic year. We expect a 3-5% increase in rates for the next academic cycle.
- Studio Apartment: $6100 - A single studio apartment with a kitchenette and bathroom.
- Economy single bedroom: $4275 - A single bedroom in a shared apartment with a kitchen and bathroom and no common living area.
- Enhanced single bedroom with no living room: $4900 - A single bedroom in a shared, new, or renovated apartment with a kitchen and bathroom but no common living area.
Residence Hall Accessibility: To make living on campus an option for graduate and law students who have disabilities, are Deaf/hard of hearing, or have chronic medical conditions, we have incorporated features in three apartment buildings. Please note that although these buildings accommodate Law, graduate, and Undergraduate students (sophomore through seniors), your individual apartment will not include roommates who are undergraduate students.
