What was you favorite Honors class?

Functional Human Neuroanatomy. It was the last upper bio class I needed to take for my major and definitely the best. It had the unique ability to be challenging while at the same time so fun and interesting that I looked forward to every single class and lab. Dr. Sikes and Dr. Ricci are great professors! Outside of my major it was probably Sociology of Violence with Jack Levin. I waited my whole time at NEU to take his class and it was worth it!

During your time at Northeastern, what experiences shaped who you are today as a graduating senior?

My two co-ops, one at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in NY doing schizophrenia research with mice and one at the Christiaan Barnard Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery in Cape Town, South Africa doing public health research and shadowing doctors. Also being a choreographer for No Limits Dance Crew and my experience as Co-President of Northeastern Hillel taught me how to be a leader and work well with others while giving back to the community.

What is your best memory from being a part of the Honors Program?

One of my favorite parts and best memories of being in the Honors Program was taking my Honors Seminar class. My last semester I took Contemporary Issues in Health Care with Lorna Hayward and it was such a fantastic class that helped to set me on my current path.

Where are you headed after you graduate?

This fall I will be attending Columbia University to pursue my Masters in Public Health. After that I eventually want to go to PA school and work with patients in underprivileged communities.
