In 2010 I completed American Wars: The Critical Decisions (NY: Facts On File, 2011).
I have begun a new book project entitled Building the American State in the Long Nineteenth Century.
I was reappointed a Distinguished Lecturer with the Organization of American for 2009-2012.
My academic duties are divided between the History Department, where I teach the courses on American and comparative political and economic history, and the Law, Policy, and Society Graduate Program, in which I am Professor of Public Policy.
