A Northeastern University footer must appear at the bottom of every page of your website, centered with the entire content of the page and sufficiently separated from the body of the site through spacing (20 pixels minimum) and type style.
You may have seen a new footer appearing on many sites starting in mid-2012. This new footer has been designed to incorporate frequently-used resources, to ensure easy, consistent access across all major sites without overcrowding the header bar.

At this time, the universal footer includes the following elements:
This footer will likely change over time to serve the evolving needs of our community, and as such, will be maintained by the Office of Marketing and Communications. For Cascade-based sites, a single universal footer is available for plug-in usage, ensuring instant updating of content as necessary. For static sites and WordPress or other CMS-based sites, please contact the Office of Marketing and Communications Web department for up-to-date content, logo, and footer elements.
Unit-specific footer content should be placed above the Northeastern footer, adapting the overall site design in a way that retains the separation between body content and the Northeastern footer.
