The General Studies Program operates under a Learning Community system, a model which places students in cohorts based on the major into which they would like to transfer as sophomores. For example, GSP business track students will travel with their fellow business track students through several of their required courses. This allows students to build a peer group with similar academic goals and interests, and to develop study groups around shared courses. GSP students choose from five different Learning Communities that lead to sophomore status in their intended major:
GSP Learning Communities:
• Arts, Media and Design
• Business
• Health/Science/Technology
• Social Science and Humanities
• Undecided
