Honors Award Ceremony

General Studies students who make the Dean’s List in the fall semester are invited to attend the Honors Award Ceremony in the spring where they receive a certificate of achievement to recognize their outstanding academic accomplishment.

The Award Ceremony also recognizes the winner of the Norma P. Rosin Award for Outstanding Critical Thinking and Writing. Norma P. Rosin was a dedicated and much loved advisor and teacher in the General Studies Program for over 30 years, and taught hundreds of students the value of thinking critically about themselves, their academics, and the world around them. This award, established in memory of Norma, recognizes outstanding critical thinking and writing in a student essay.
