Graduate Campus Strategy

Northeastern has embarked on an initiative to develop a series of graduate campuses around the country, seeking to move higher education beyond a model that has changed little in centuries.

The initiative is grounded in the idea that the 21st century economy requires greater access to graduate education linked to emerging fields and increased collaboration among universities, industry, and the public sector. The existing model of higher education is not designed to meet these two demands.

In response, Northeastern is creating truly modern campuses that will offer select graduate degrees and research partnerships closely aligned with the workforce and development needs of regional economies, as well as the global economy.

It is an innovative approach that grows out of Northeastern’s century of leadership in building education and research partnerships with businesses and communities around the world.
